The 3rd National Golf Club General Manager's Conference in 2002

Since its inception, the National Golf Club General Manger's Conference attracted only 40 managers. However, it is now an influential forum of important discussion.

The theme for the conference is golf and tourism. During the meeting, issues are high on the agenda like how to associate golf with the popular vacation in order to further extend the golf market and how to cultivate a national wide market for golf.

The 53rd Miss World Pageant held its swimsuit competition poolside in 2003

On November 25, 2003, the world’s most beautiful women emerged on the sandy, poolside beach at Yalong Bay Golf Club. Selected from 108 different countries, they presented their pretty faces, sunny smiles and graceful figures against the surrounding coconut trees, luxuriant greens, flowers and turquoise water under the clear blue sky.

The Qualification for the World's Strongest Man in 2006

On September 17th 2006 the qualification for World's Strongest Man (WSM) was hosted at Yalong Bay Golf Club by the People's government of Sanya. The sandy lagoon at Yalong Bay Golf Club was the designated arena for the events that would establish the qualification of WSM. The beautiful scenery of the golf course was a perfect backdrop for the dramatic events that unfolded at the pool.

Special events like this continuously increase the fashionable element within Yalong Bay Golf Club.

Event organizers IMG China and its television partner TWI are the international sports promoters that covers sports, entertainment, such as the F1, Tour de France and Dakar Rally.
