Course Strategy

Mr. Paul Hodgson was educated in South Shields Tyne & Wear England, and qualified as a PGA Golf Professional at the PGA Training establishment in Lilleshall in 1976 where he gained his PGA Coach Diploma. Whilst in Germany Paul Hodgson worked for four years at St.Leon Rot Golf Club, which is rated as not only the No.1 Golf Club in Germany but also the 4th best Golf Club in Europe.

The most difficult hole on the course without question is Hole No.2. The drive should be placed left of the Fairway Bunkers or, for the longer hitter, directly over the Bunkers, leaving from the back tee, a medium to long iron for the second shot. A bunker in front of the Green must be carried to successfully reach the green, however, should the shot be pulled at all, a watery grave awaits to the left. As stroke index 1 on the card this hole is truly a test to the standard of all players, and the player who scores Par on this hole can leave the green with a degree of self satisfaction.
